Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (PMB), a key entity in reshaping Malaysia's public transport landscape since 1998, recently embarked on a significant transition by relocating its headquarters. Moving from its earlier location in Menara UOA, Bangsar, the organisation has established its new base at Menara Prasarana, situated in the vibrant area of Ara Damansara, next to its Kompleks Rapid Rail Subang. This move, initiated in March 2024, marks a proactive step towards embracing sustainability.
The design of the new 12-storey headquarters reflects PMB's dedication to the environment. The building utilises natural lighting, motion-activated lifts, and energy-efficient lighting, all in alignment with the PMB Sustainability Blueprint. Ample recycling bins are strategically placed throughout the premises, encouraging staff to recycle and contribute to PMB's sustainable practices.
PMB also prioritises the health and welfare of its employees. A whole floor at Level 4 is reserved for recreational activities, featuring amenities such as separate gyms for men and women, a dance studio, table tennis and notably, outdoor sports areas like tennis courts and jogging tracks surrounded by lush gardens. These facilities underscore the importance PMB places on the physical and mental well-being of its staff.
To ease the daily commute for its employees, PMB provides shuttle bus services from the Lembah Subang LRT Station and has allotted specific parking areas for electric vehicles and car pools.
The shift to Menara Prasarana moves PMB away from its previous home in Bangsar and reaffirms its commitment to advancing Malaysia’s public transport system sustainably. The new headquarters is not just a building but a reflection of PMB's dedication to environmental stewardship and prioritising its workforce’s well-being.
